Are you are in the mood for something fun to read — a fantasy book without all those grimdark characters and pesky, world-threatening plotlines?

Then check out our new cozy high fantasy novel. It’s clean, light-hearted, gentle fantasy.

I have been jokingly calling it “Susan and John light.” It’s a little shorter than our epic fantasy books, with easier names to pronounce (Charlotte and Dana, instead of Fabren and Kalchyra), and it has a touch of the culinary.(‘Cuz who doesn’t love cookies?)

But, at the same time, we’ve kept the elements of our usual writing that our readers enjoy — the likeable characters, interesting world-building, and good storytelling.

We deliberately used a pen name “J.S. Ruff” to distinguish our cozy novels from our epic fantasy books.

I know that cozy is not for everyone, but for those who enjoy it, John and I hope that you will have as much fun reading the book as we did writing it.
